  • Following any of the simple instructions below will not disable your firewall or your computer protection. They should allow you to better communicate with your AnswerXpress librarian, provided that there are not other overriding settings prohibiting you from connecting.
  • If you are using Web TV or an AOL browser, please return to the service using an Internet Explorer browser, with your firewall configured as suggested below, depending on your software product.

Dislaimer: These instructions are not to be construed as anything other than suggestions on how to improve your connectivity to a librarian during an online session. Following these instructions will not necessarily guarantee a connection, as there are several factors that can inhibit connectivity. We are committed to providing the greatest accessibility of its Internet site as possible. We have redundant systems and procedures to safeguard the site; however even with these safeguards in place, loss of connectivity or software/hardware failure can still occur. For this reason, we cannot "guarantee" Internet connectivity. We will not be responsible for lost or delayed sessions, email, or content, nor can we be responsible for any subsequent computer hardware or software failures, if any such failures occur during or after a visit to any of our sites.
